The Bombing of Japan
This is President Truman.
The first bomb dropped on Heroshima was Little-Boy
and the first bomb dropped on Nagasagki was Fat Man!
Einstein was persuaded to help make the atomic bomb. He didn't know what the bomb would be for.
President Truman thought the atomic bombs would end the war because he thought that Japan would surrender.
This is Little Boy and Fat Man. They were the bombs that were dropped on Japan. Enola Gay was the plane that dropped the bombs.
80,000 to 140,000
people were killed and at least 100,000 were seriously injured. 150,000 people died five years later from radition. Radition can cause birth defects and Leukemia. :(
Little Boy was dropped on August 14, 1945 at 8:16 AM.
Not-so-fun Fact:
The difference between an atomic bomb and a regular is that an atomic bomb gives off radiation.
Fat Man was dropped on August 9, 1945.
